H1-B revoked

Due to a mistake in the paperwork, filled by my employer (non profit, cap exempt) the H1-B visa will be revoked. Basically, they omitted a J-1 visa I had 12 years ago with the 212e requirement. I have applied for a J1 waiver at DOS hoping we will get a RFE from USCIS but surprise... after a month and a half USCIS approved the petition. Now my employer wants to revoke the H1-B. Assuming the waiver gets approved, the question is how soon can I reapply for H1-B. I understand the it takes months for USCIS to revoke a petition and I am afraid it will affect me when I reapply.
