H4 to H1 Change of Status

Hi,

 

I am working on H1B VIsa and I am planning to Bring my wife on H4 Visa. But my wife was working in CTS in 2011 and H1B is stamped in her passport with CTS Pitetion and she resigned after the stamping and CTS put one stamp on her VISA saying "Cancelled without Prejudice". What it mean?

 

1. Means CTS cancelled her VISA? How to find that?

2. If CTS is cancelled/revoked that VISA, can she apply for H4 to H1 Change of Status and transfer to new Company Pitetion?

 

Please Clarify my Doubt.

CTS would not have done that. It would have been done by US consulate.

1. Her petition with CTS is revoked.

2. Yes. Her new employer can apply for change of status from H4 to H1B.

Cancelled with out prejudice is an American seal . There is nothing to do with cts. They don't have a right to stamp in your passport .

The visa officer in the consulate does .

Only one visa has to be on the passport that should be valid .
