H1B approved

Hello All, 

 

My H1B got approved today at Vancouver, Canada.

 

Procedure: I went there at 9:15 Am when my interview was at 10 Am. Security guard asked me to come just 15 minutes prior to my interview. So i went there at 9:45. Security guard asked me take out passport, I797 and DS confirmation. 

 

After that I went in and took stairs to the next floor and there i was asked to put everything in a basket, like how we go through airport security check. Then after that i went in and a lady there asked me for my passport, picture( I guess my DS-160 picture was not good enough), and I797 and gave me a number and asked me to sit and wait for my number to give the fingerprints.

 

After fingerprints I was asked to take the elevators and go to 20th floor. There, after getting out of elevator a guard will send you to another room. And that room is small with counters(  like a general license counter ..lol). I waited for my number and then i heard my number and went to the officer:

 

Interview:

 

me: Hello 

o: How are you.

me: I am well, thank you, how are you?

O: good, can i see your client letter and LCA.

me: Gave him LCA and did not hear what he asked. I was like LCA and what did you ask Sir?

O: DO you have a client?

me: Yes, here is the letter.

O: What is your annual income?

me: so and so.

O: Do your employer bench you anytime?

me: No

O: do they pay on time?

me: Yes, they do.

O: did you ever study in USA?

me: Yes

O: which university?

me: Told him my University name

O: Did you live there all the time?

me: Yes

O: where do you work?

me: client location, name of the location.

O: let me verify your employer addreed.

me: do you need any documents for that sir?

O: No, i can check online.

me: OK.

O: Your visa is approved.

me: ( thank you)

 

Done. It was easy and it is easy I believe.

 

Things to remeber: 

DO not take bagpacks.

do not wear watches.

do not take cell, you can but better not to.

do not take cealed envelopes, even if take them with you, nothing happens, they ask you to open and then you can take after they see it.
