My wife coming on H4 near expiration date

Hi,

I am going to india on 22nd November 2013. My wife and I are coming back to US on 09th December 2013 and our visa is expiring on 16th December. My H1b extension is filed under premium processing but i am not sure if i will get the result by 09th December. Will she face any issues on port of entry as it is her first entry to US? Do i need to file I539 for her as soon as we reach US to maintain her status valid? Your suggestion will be grateful on this matter.

Better to travel after extension approval. It takes 15 calendar days to get approval by premium processing.
