suggestion on hotels near calgary us consulate

Hi,

 

Can anyone suggest me best hotels near calagary us consulate with resonable rate and closer to us consulate.Also it would be helpful if you can share transit details on how you managed to goto US consulate from hotel.

Hi,

Here is some info out of my experiance.

We stayed in DaysInn, 3828 Macloed Trails South, Calgary which is around 2 km from consulate and 20 km from airport.

There are no shuttles from airport to hotel. So you have to take taxi which will cost around $50.

There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. Take Bus no 10 and get down at "City Hall" stop comes exactly in 10 min and embassy is right opposite of the bus stop. Cost $3 each way (you have to use coins).

For return you can use the same bus but the stop is after the two blocks from consulate. So better take train (light rail) which is opposite of consulate. Go towards somerset and get down at 39th ave stop. cost is same $3
