Successful Visa Approved @Calgary for 8 AM

First of all, I would like to thank Murthy forum for providing all the information that helped a lot to prepare for the interview!!

 

It was my first H1. Today we saw ~10 ppl for H1b stamping at Calgary. 4 people around my time slot got successful Visa too :)

I had an appointment@8:00 AM,reached embassy by 7:15 AM.

First security check @ 7:30 AM -10Min

Second Security Check and gave Token number - 5 min

Fingerprints --10 Min max

Then sat there for about 10 mins and  was called for an interview. Interview lasted for approx. 5 min.


1. Where are you from?  <Home Country>

2. Whom do you work for and how long were you working for?

3. How long were you in US?

4. Where do you stay in US?

5. Is it close to client location?

6. How do you commute?

7. VO asked me you did your masters in Louisiana, how do you feel Caifornia [present living] is differnt from Louisiana  [more of casual question]

8. VO didn't asked me my client details  [i am wearing a badge of my client , he might have looked at that :)]

9. VO asked you are working as  Database Admin, tell me couple of daily duties/responsibilites


Thats it, VO said your visa is approved and you will receive passport in  3 business days.


---Please donot take out any documents from your folder unless requested.

---Don't take any mobile/carry bags inside as the security mentioned there is no place to keep these [in a harsh tone :)], just take required folder.
