Hi Guys,


 


First of all, I would like to thank Murthy forum for providing all the information that helped a lot to prepare for the interview!!


 


It was my first H1. Today we saw ~25 ppl for H1b stamping.


I had an appointment@7:30 AM,reached embassy by 7:05 AM.


First security check @ 7:20 AM -10Min


Second Security Check and gave Token number - 5 min


Fingerprints --10 Min max


Then sat there for almost half an hour and no one was called for an interview. Interviews started at ~8:20 AM.


 


Then comes the interview. VO was a mid-age gentleman but was paying good attention to the details and asked many questions to few guys before me (I guess he might have issued 221g to one). Below is the conversation we had.


 


Me: Good Morning, How are you?


VO: Good, How are you doing?


Me: Good, thanks!


 


VO: What do you do?


Me: Answered about my position.


 


VO: So, who do you work for?


Me: Said the employer name.


 


VO: For how long and what do you do?


Me: Answered the duration and explained job description.


 


VO: Do you have any client?


Me: Yes, told the name. 


 


VO: For how long and what do you do for them?


Me: Explained the details for half a minute, seemed like he was amazed by the application as it's a known client.


 


VO: Where did you do Master's from?


Me: Answered that.


 


No document was asked. Then we just had a light chat about the weather and he said your visa is approved and gave the instructions to track the status.


 


One thing he mentioned though, "Your application is not updated in the system, so, it might take 1-2 days more to receive the passport." I think it's a PIMS issue but not sure. If anyone has an idea about it, that how long it usually takes, please let me know.


 


One thing I must say as all the candidates mentioned before, just be confident and look into the person's eyes when you talk. A smile in the beginning goes a long way.. :)

Hi , 

 

Even i and my friend were had an interview on Nov 12th 8.30AM . Both got approved.

 

Hope to get passport soon :) . Please update here is any one know the status of the passport.

hi all

 

anyone here interviewed on Nov 4th? Did you get your passport back already? The VO approved my visa and my status got updated on Nov 8th to Issued but i'm not seeing my waybill number yet. Any information will be appreciated.

hi, i got my visa approved at same time. No update on passport yet. Visa office has said the same to me about pims. Please let me know if anyone have received any information about passport.

I was the 3rd one on the counter on 11/12, he said you will get the passport in 3 days .... he didn't mention anything abt PIMS issue... is there an issue on PIMS in Ottawa????

Dont worry, you should have your passport by friday morning. My friend got it in 2 days.

Hey guys, thanks for updating the status! I checked on CEAC today but no update, will let you know when it gets changed.

 

@Scboy, yes I am on EVC model.

Did you already picked up? or Do you get the WayBill number on the usvisa-info.com site?

 

Guys ... I got a email yday @6 that my passport is @ Loomis , but not on the CEAC website ... 

 

check your email  spam folder ....

I picked my passport today morning @ 10 .... still no updates on the website, keep check your email ..... Good luck...

Still there is no email or update in my status . I had my interview on Nov 12th . i tried to en-quire near the consulate but they did not allow me to go inside and told to check it online . Also went to loomis branch in Ottawa but there also no update . It is still showing Admin Processing .

Just an update, my status update date has changed to today but the status is still in Admin Processing. I hope it gets  updated soon, it's very frustrating to wait for it the whole weekend now and don't even know when it will get updated.

I had my interview on 12th as well. Still not yet heard back anything. Still showing admin processing. Has anyone else heard back.

Hi New-B,

When did you get the passport or when did the status changed next? as m in the same boat, interviewed and approved on 18th and the status was Admin Processing since then, and the status update date has changed to today's but still Admin Processing.

Any feedbacks or suggestions will be much appreciated.
