I am on EVVC model with NON IT Background working for a financial firm. Initially I planned to go to Vancouver consulate but then I have changed all my plans as my client was not providing me with a Client letter or email.

I attended my interview on Oct 30th at 9 AM in Kingston Jamaica consulate. Below is my interview experience

VO: Where is it located?

Me: Oh is it..!!! I came yesterday only :) (I was acting as if I dont know :P)

VO: Can I see your LCA, W2, I-129 Petition?

Me Yes sure and I handed over my LCA, most recent W2 and I-129

VO: Your employer seems to be a small company? How many people work in that company?

Me: I answered him

VO: What do you do?

VO: You guys are like H1 slaves for your employer?

Me: I smiled and said it isnt like that sir.

VO: Where do you work? (He wanted me to mention Client address which is on my LCA)

Me: I work at client location and I told him my Client address (This moment I thought he might ask me for a Client letter

VO: Who is your supervisor and how do you report?

Me: His name is XXX and we do have weekly status calls and I visit once in 2 weeks. (My employer and Client are in different states)

VO: What are your roles and responsibilities? (He asked me this question again)

Me: Answered

VO: What will you do if your employer fires you?

Me: No sir they wouldn't fire me.  (I was like balnk, I was feeling tensed and dint know what to answer)

VO: Did you do your masters at XXX Univ? (He was looking at my F1 visa stamp in my passport)

Me: No Sir, I have transferred to XXX Univ and did my XXXX

VO: Ok, (he was asking my employer name, masters, Role and was entering in his system)

VO: When do you have your return flight?

Me: I told him

VO: Ok I am issuing your Visa.

Me: Thank you Sir, when can I pick up my Passport?

VO: He gave me a RED SLIP and explained

Me: Thank you so much, have a nice day :)

My interview lasted about10-15 min. I was loud and answered each and every question confidently. And my visa got approved and I am sooo happy.

Thanks Arti .. that's quite a lot of questions to remember... Congratulations!

Do you know anyone there who got 221g or waiting for visa from a long time in jamaica? ..

I am trying to find info about how to get back to india if visa stamping in kingston goes wrong.. (Most flights are routed thru US, and US requires transit visa)

Can you please ask someone if you come across them while you are there..

Thanks,

Sri

Thanks Sri.

Yes one guy got 221g, but I heard they will process it within 2-3 weeks. However I am not sure and it all depends on each individuals case.

I don't know details about transit visa. Sorry for the delayed response. Good luck.
