Query regaerding L1 visa expiring

Hi ,

 

I work for a company in US and I have L1 BB visa which is expiring in April 2014 and I have I-94 validity till Sep 2013.I have my wedding in Feb 2014 for which I need to go back to India in Feb 2014 and I am planning to come back in March 2014. My company is ready to go with my extension of L1A visa as my L1B will not be applicable now as I have exp. of 8 years now.

Need to know below few things:

 

1) If I file for L1A extension.

    a) If extension approved : can I go back to India for wedding and come back to US in March ?

    b) If extension is rejected : Can I still travel to India and come back to US on my  L1B visa and stays in US

         till it expires?

    c) what is the possibility I can process my wife's visa and travel with her back to US. 

 

2) If I do not file for extension.

     What are the choices I have .

 

At the end what I am looking for is , the safest way I get my Visa extension and travel back to US with my wife.

 

Any help and advise will be really appreciated.
