Going for H1B Stamping EVC model- Chennai

Hello All,

 

I am going for my H1B visa stamping under EVC model at Chennai. I hear a lot about the risks involved.

This is my first time H1B stamping. I came to US in 2007 on F1. From Sep 2010  I am working for my employer. My first H1b was from Sep 2010 to Sep 2013. This is my second H1B and i got it approved last month for three years validity till 2016.

My hometown is Hyderabad, but my sister is getting married and the marriage is in Madurai. So chennai is nearer. Here are my questions..

Is it a risk to go to chennai when my hometown is Hyderabad?

What are the precautions to be taken under EVC model ?

 

I work for a very big client and I have client letter that clearly specifies my employer name and that my employer has every right on me. I am almost carrying all documents. But i would feel better if you could still let me know what extra precautions or documents i should take.

Chennai / hyderabad doesn't matter. You need all the required documents and some luck

Any consulate is fine.

Make sure you got all the documents.
