I am sorry, but did you mean your H1B was applied on Oct 18th or did you mean if your LCA was applied? If your question was about the LCA, then yes....my prospective employer has applied for LCA certification as soon as the DOL started accepting applications after government reopened and the LCA was certified on Oct 26th(close to a week).

You need to post more details if your question is related to H1B approval.

Firstly, no one was able to apply for LCA 'during' govt shutdown because the DOL site itself was down. My employer filed my LCA immediately after the DOL site was functional after govt govt reopened, and the LCA got certified on Oct 26th. My employed had sent out the H1B transfer(PP) paper work to USCIS Vermont center and we are awaiting for the receipt number.

I have my H1B approval from company A up to 9th year from 2013 through 2016 (140 approved). I have received a job offer end of september / early october with company B but they have not been able to file for my LCA due to govt shutdown and now iCert portal being down through Nov 1st..

I noticed that LCA iCert will now be down unfortunately until Nov 8th and Nov 11th is a federal off.

Does anyone / attorney know whether LCA can be submitted in parallel via fedex rather than using the online system to accelerate the process? I am getting very concerned about my offer with Company B due to all these delays. Please provide any advise.

I heard from another forum on ******** that the icert system is still accepting LCAs but the registry and status check features are unavailable until Nov 8th.

Does anyone know What does "Labor Certification Registry" mean - i thought that its the registry /system where they file the LCA ? - are the attorneys still able to file the LCA?

Any attorney who can comment on this?

Thanks,

hey aru_unique,

people in the other forum mentioned that they tried to apply for LCA after 5:30 PM PST. ask your attorney if they can try to apply after business hours in EST and see what his response is?

Also, I think the ICERT will up and acting good by end of this week, i have seen very few random approvals, currently almost all sept petitions are approved (i dont see people complaning about sept apprvoals since yesterday).

Myvisajobs site did not show any status for me yesterday and by end of day i saw the status as cerified mail not sent. hopefully i will get my certified LCA by end of today or wednesday.

Also, my current H1B in PP is not approved yet, it been 11days since the day i sent petition and 7 days since USCIS acknowledgement. my case status on USCIS shows acceptance still. I am trying to find out about check clearance from my curren employer..

Hopefully you will be able to convince your attorney to work late hours today on your petition and file LCA by today.
