pdksharma Posted October 31, 2013 Report Posted October 31, 2013 Guys, I would like to thanks to all the people who has shared their stamping experience at this forum. I have got H1B stamped today in calgary & its my time to share my exp. Visa officer was quite good guy. I did notice, he has approved 8-10 H1B continuously (most of them were indians). Interview duration was 2 minutes and here are the questions asked by him: 1. What do you do & responsibilities. 2. Since my 140 got approved, he asked, what is your priority date & what is current date. 3. Do you have any question or doubt about the work as per as USA concern. Visa got approved & you will get your passport in 2 days. Steps : 1. Guys if possible have Blazer & Tie 2. Keep smiling even if VO looks rude & have patience. Thanks, Kumar
gopalakrishnach Posted October 31, 2013 Report Posted October 31, 2013 Hi, Congrats. How VO know that your 140 is approved. Mine also same case and what did you answer for Do you have any question or doubt about the work as per as USA concern?
pdksharma Posted November 1, 2013 Author Report Posted November 1, 2013 Thanks, In mine case this was the H1-8th yr when i visited for visa. Usually h1b can not have more than 6 yrs till you have your 140. Take your original 140 approval(they might ask about this). I replied No i do'nt have any question or doubt as I am already working in USA(keep smiling). Good Luck.
dreams11 Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 Thanks pdkharma for sharing your experience. I also have same question like ultimatewarrior. What should we say if vo ask "Do you plan to stay in US or come back?" I have approved I-140.
rahul412 Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 Hi, Congrats. How VO know that your 140 is approved. Mine also same case and what did you answer for Do you have any question or doubt about the work as per as USA concern? You have to enter your I140 details when you fill your DS form.
rahul412 Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 Not exactly the I140 details, but you will check 'Yes' in your DS form for one of the GC related questions if your I140 is approved.
Hardeepsingh83 Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 Hi Kumar I too had an interview in Calgary on 10/31 and haven't seen any update on my passport status. Did you see any update on yours? thanks hardeep
pdksharma Posted November 2, 2013 Author Report Posted November 2, 2013 Hi, I think we have met in consulate (was sitting next to you). Even i have not received any info abt passport but i went to loomis office2 hrs back & collected my passport. I do'nt hv waybill track number but if you show them the reference number (available at your appointment confirmation letter) that is more than enough. They will let you have your passport. Unfortunately they are close on saturday and sunday.
Hardeepsingh83 Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Hi Kumar I went to loomis branch on Nov 1 at around 3 PM and they couldn't able to track my PP based on reference number and asked me to check after 6PM but then no body picked my call. However, I can see Waybill number now and status is Shipment Record Received. Do u think I can get the Passport from them on Monday early morning? Thanks!
