Canada Visa Application Process through VAC

Hi All,

 

Can I mail my documents to VAC(with passport)

and get Canada tourist visa for my H1B Appointment.Please respond ASAP.

You can upload all your docs online, within a week they will make a decision . If Approved you can send your passport..

You can also go in person and apply at their office. I applied in New York office few days before where they look at all your docs and advice you if you need anything else.

Thanks Ajay. I heard that application process through online is taking more time and more preference is given through VAC.How days did it took for you when you submitted in person.

So you received your passport with canada visa in less than an hour?

I am actually looking to apply for canada visa in person as I have my interview scheduled for november 26 at ottawa, CN. Not sure if this is true, but , i heard from people that, if we apply inperson at canda consulate either in LA or NY, we should be getting it on same day or the 2nd day. Please validate if this is true.

Guys, any updates? I have my visa date in Ottawa on Dec16th and I can apply in person(through a friend who lives in NY).
