LABOR CERTIFICATION <365 DAYS LEFT

Hi,

My situation is typical. 

 

H1B 6 years expire on 01/31/2015

 

Working as FTE for an Employer A who started my GC processing, Recruitment period going on right now. I expect them to file my Labor sometime end of Nov to Mid of December 2013. However, there is a fear that I will loose my job because of some lay offs. 

 

Questions:

 

1) I am thinking of changing my job because I dont want to take a chance, if I loose my job because of lay offs I will be screwed.

2) If I change my job, the new company will still take another 3 months in filing labor which wont be before Feb 2014.

 

What would you suggest? I am sure there is no option of filing Labor in premium. Can I have another employer start my GC processing in parallel? So that just in case I lose my current job, I will still have some hope from the other employer?

 

 

Any help in this regards is greatly appreciated.
