H1B 6 years expire on 01/31/2015 Working as FTE for an Employer A who started my GC processing, Recruitment period going on right now. I expect them to file my Labor sometime end of Nov to Mid of December 2013. However, there is a fear that I will loose my job because of some lay offs. Questions: 1) I am thinking of changing my job because I dont want to take a chance, if I loose my job because of lay offs I will be screwed. 2) If I change my job, the new company will still take another 3 months in filing labor which wont be before Feb 2014. What would you suggest? I am sure there is no option of filing Labor in premium. Can I have another employer start my GC processing in parallel? So that just in case I lose my current job, I will still have some hope from the other employer? Any help in this regards is greatly appreciated. Thanks, A GC Aspirant...
madhu418 Posted November 5, 2013 Report Posted November 5, 2013 1. be sure to select an employer willing to file your PERM and LCA at the same time and start your GC. 2. Apply for H1B ext as soon as your current company applied for PERM.
