Me: *** University VO: What is your field of study/specialization? Me: Mechanical Engineering. VO: When did you graduate? Me: May 2011 VO: What were you doing since you graduated till this time? Me: I was working on OPT VO: Whom do you work for? Me: Gave my Employer Name. VO: What does your employer do? Me: Provides IT consulting services to various companies VO: Do you have a client? Me: Yes VO: Who is you client? Me: Gave the name of my client Vo: Since when were you working with the client? Me: gave the duration. VO: Which month/year did you join your (employer's) company? Me: Gave the month/year of my joining date VO: Please give me you paystubs, LCA, Employer offer letter and driver's licence Me: gave him all the paystubs since I started working, LCA and DL and offer letter My DL is from Michigan and I stay in a different state now. So here are his questions regarding that. VO: Why do you have a MI licence Me: I bought my car in MI and so got a DL there as well VO: Thats fine. But you have been staying at the client's location for over an year. Why haven't you got this state's DL. Me: I had registered my car to the client's state but, the office said I could continue with my existing MI DL here. VO: No, that's wrong. you are legally supposed to get the licence of the state you are staying in. Me: (Gave a very surprise/shocking look) VO: What do you do for the client? Me: gave my role in one line VO: Can you explain to me in generic terms please? Me: Started explaining. (He really wanted to know what I do. Dropped everything he was doing and looked at me in the eye while I was explaining and asked questions while I was explaining) VO: Where are you from in India? Me: Told him the city and state VO: Is your name common there? Me: Yes, The last name also is very common. VO: I see. I have another person with exactly same name who has done pretty bad stuff. Me: Oh. (that explains all the grilling so far) VO: your Visa is approved. Collect you passport from loomis branch after the status is updated in this site and gave me a paper. Me: Sure, thank you VO: Do get the state licence when you go back Me: Absolutely. Thats all.

Got visa approved. my status is not updated yet. is your status got updated...??? Got am email saying my passport is at Loomis branch but not ready for pickup. It was updated sometime in the midnight. But, there is no status update on the website that is given by VO. My friend who came with me is still awaiting on the email. Guess, it differs. Good luck!

Even if the status says "Not ready for pickup" I walked in there and it was ready. So, go get it once you get an email from Loomis.
