I mailed my passport to Canadian Embassy in New York on OCt 1st through Fedex and it reached on OCt 2nd.. Now today is OCt 24th and i still havent received my passport. Has someone been through the same?

Lots of them. If you care to check the forum with keywords like "canada visa"

i think its all normal ... for me it took 21 days ..i understand you have crossed 21 days already but it might vary based on current number of applications.

you can do couple of things:

1) check with the bank when was the fees (cheque/money order etc) deposited by consulate

2) track using the return envelope's tracking number

 

dont worry ..its all normal

i checked the return envelope and there is no record for it yet..  :(

Applied on 10th september 2013

Got email to send passport on 4th October 2013

Sent passport on 5th October 2013

NYC canda consulate received passport on 7th October 2013

Got passport back today

I know people who received their passports after 2 months. Just be patient.
