Is there anyone who applied online for canada visitor visa in Oct 1st week?.If so, did you get a response already ?

I applied on Oct 3rd and still no response....

They will get back to you definitely and ask your passport.

I applied on Oct 10 and I got a response regarding sending my passport yesterday..

 

It takes 20-30 days...so you should hear from them next week.

After two followups finally got the passport request mail today.

Should i send my and my spouse's passport in separate envelopes or one will do please? (Since there are 2 application numbers).

 

Is it better to send to NY or Los angeles please?

Please send it to LA if it is urgent, NY is taking atleast 4 weeks to stamp and send the passports back.

I would send in 2 envelopes just to be safe and also have individual tracking number for each passport.

Timeline: I applied online on the 18th, received passport request yesterday. (~16 days processing time)

Hi, I sent the passports yesterday in 2 envelopes through Express mail scheduled to be delivered today. But today i see USPS status as  below for both tracking numbers.

I did not request 'Waiver of signature' in the Express mail, Is that the reason? This is surprising to me, as today is not holiday for canada embassy i suppose.

Are there any chance they would claim my envelopes! or it will be returned to me ?!

www.usps.com/redelivery or calling 800-ASK-USPS, or may pick up the item at the Post Office indicated on the notice. If this item is unclaimed after 5 days then it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later."

Donty worry, USPS will deliver the passport by tomorrow. They did the same with mine.

But NO photo on it, Is that normal?

 

Timeline:

Applied onine - Oct 3

Passport request - Nov 5 (After 2 followups)

Passport sent by overnite express with return envelope - Nov 6

Passport received at LA - Nov 7

Passport sent back by consulate - Nov 12.

Received - Nov 13. (Visa Validity : Multiple entry until Passport expiry date)

You are good to go! Canada Visit visa will not have any pic on it. Congrats and all the best for your interview.

Could you please help in filling the CA visiting visa online application.

I did fill them but it says it is mandatory to have a valid flight ticket or pruposed itinerary which I don't have as of now since I need to file for my H1 extension and then block the date later. Planning for stamping in Vancouver around end of march.

Could you please put in the right direction.

If the consulate is driving distance from where you live, you can attach a copy of the proposed driving route. Or initially you can pick the location(which is at a driving distance if possible) just to apply visitor visa. later you can use actual lcoation to block flights for Vancouver.

 

I applied saying that I will be visiting Toronto and I will be driving to the location and had the route directions attached. I got confirmation to send my passport and sent my passport for stamping.

Thanks for responding and it did help me.

Uploaded a scan copy of proposed itinerary today, but do have a question related to the passport.

Do I need to send the old expired passport too along with the new one, since the old one has earlier stampings, after the confirmation to send the new one (to be on safe side so that they can verify it, if needed and stamp in the new one, return it to me.)

 

Does any one has idea about what are the current dates available or any in last March, for visa stamping in Vancouver.
