Dear All,

My passport has H1B visa stamped and my spouse H4 valid for 3 years.

Now am planning to change my company.

I am comfortable with this that I have to restamp my H1B at Consulate.

Does my spouse also need to get H4 stamped again?

As long as you guys stay in US there is no need for visa stamping. Only when you travel outside US and if your earlier H1B is expired you need a new visa.

Hi Jairichi,

I am in a similar situation. I got my H1B from my previous employer and it is valid till Oct-2014. I got it stamped in Jan-2012. I recently changed job and got my H1B transferred. I am going to India in Dec for my marriage. Do i need to get the visa stamped?

Thanks!

Nope. You can travel with your old employer's unexpired H1B visa and I797 from new employer.
