Employer change H1B and H4 for my spouse

Hi,

 

I am travelling to India in Dec for my marriage. I need to get my H1B stamped since I moved to another company. I am planning to take my wife along with me for the H4 visa interview. I have a few questions regarding the process.

• I know that I have to fill two DS160 forms, should I fill them separately or use the "Family/Dependent" option and start another application after filling out mine?
• Do i need to get two HDFC receipts or can I pay the sum total for two applications in one transaction?
• While applying for the interview dates, do i need to select one date for both of us?

 

Really appreciate if you can answer the above questions - Please bare with me if questions are very basic. Is there a good source to find out more about this? Links to similar posts would be very helpful.

"I need to get my H1B stamped since I moved to another company" - not correct. If your visa stamp from previous employer is valid, then you don't have to go for stamping. Use old visa stamp with old and new I797 at POE. But your wife should use new 797 and related papers for her H4 stamping.
