Role Changed post Stamped Visa, what next ?

Hi,

 

H1 Petition approved in July 30, 2013, Got in Stamped for Client A. not travelled yet as client needs to confirm on the travel date.

Now i got promotion to the next level.

what needs to be done ? Amendment ? or go on the same visa and get amendment in the US.

 

As compensation differs from level to level and the promoted level attracts a higher compensation.

 

Pls advise.
