bitmca Posted October 20, 2013 Report Posted October 20, 2013 Hi, I have a approved H1B but COS from L1 to H1B was denied (because I had to go out of states in between for some purpose). My H1B was being applied by an external local employer. They are saying that I should go india for H1B Stamping. Query: 1) Do I need to go only india for "H1B Stamping" or I can go any other country like canada for "H1B Stamping"? 2) Can I do H1B transfer including COS? How much time this process need? 3) Does H1B rejection impact my existing L1 visa? Please advice.

But, they would have to pay again H1B fees. I am sure they will not be happy with this route. 3. No

vishnu586 Posted October 20, 2013 Report Posted October 20, 2013 Did you receive i94 in your I797? Is your approval is I797 or I797A or I797B? (I797A is given to people resing in USA, so it has I94 attached at bottom and I797B might not have I94 and generally issued to people not residing in USA )
