L1 to H1 and then Back to L1

Hi,

 

 I have entered US with L1B VISA thru employer A. Applied for H1 along with COS with another employer B. H1B with employer B is active from October 1st 2013.

 

 I have not yet moved to Employer B and currently still working for Employer A.

 

 I have below queries:

 

1. How Long i can stay with my Current Employer A before moving to my new employer B?

2. How to re-instate my L1B status with out asking my Employer A? Can I go outside of USA and then re-enter USA to get my L1 Activated?

3. For next 6 months I am not willing to move to employer B, so is it safe to be on L1B till that time. Some of my freinds said you cross the border and come back to get new I-94 on L1B. If I do this, will they ask any questions about my H1 at port of entry?
