Travelling to India with valid I-797 and stamped Visa expired

I am planning to travelling back to India on Jan 2014. I have to do re stamping on this time. 

 

I am on H1B, currently my Stamped Visa got expired on Oct 2012.

 

I have valid I -797 till end of Jan 2014 and

 

I have valid B1 stamped VISA till 2015.

 

Is it possible for me travel through London or France or Frankfurt?

 

I heard that if I have any valid Visa (I have B1)  then transit not a issue through London, is that true? 

 

I recently renewed my passport with a name change (FNU issue) My Visa documents and new passport have different names, is that make any problem?

Yes, you can. Travel with both passports.

If you have a Valid unexpired US Visa stamped on your passport you are good to go. Doesn't matter if its H1 or B1.

Sorry for posting to an old thread. But my case is related to this. 

 

I recently converted my L1 visa to H1 visa. I have my L1 visa stamped in my passport and have few more years of validity in it. I also have a valid 1797. But my H1 visa is not stamped in my passport yet. I am planning to travel to India via Paris. Is it alright to do so?
