deep_bi Posted October 14, 2013 Report Posted October 14, 2013 My Client cannot provide "Client Letter" for my visa extension according to the company policy.I have other documents like Purchase Order/Vendor letter etc., How important is this client letter.Last time I got just 1 year extension after an RFE(mentioning term of job is not clarified) resolved for my case.So my employer keeps saying that lack of client letter is reason for not getting 3 years of visa.I like working with this client and only these extensions are issues for me. But for contracting I guess no client can give letter mentioning 3 years of scope of work with them.If that's the case they can hire people as fulltime.Adding Client timesheet's and ID card will make a chance to ask more questions? So what docs are required for getting fullterm(3 years) of extension.
omshiv Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 Client letter is Very Imp...if they do not give...just get a copy of the email where they mention this. all other docs you have are good.
shandan Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 Not sure what you are asking the client to mention in the letter, I used to work for a very conservative financial firm, and even they gave me a letter verifying my employment with them with a beginning and end date of my contract (which was like for most people was for only till the end of the year), and mentioned that they see a possibility of the contract getting renewed in the future. I do not see any company having an issue with verifying your employement with them, may be you are asking for something more than that, so try to ask them of an employment verification letter instead of a 3 year commitment for employment. Btw, that employment verification letter was enough for my visa stamping.
omshiv Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 I guess what OP is looking is..as per his employer...since they are getting only 1 yr extensions...they want the Client to mention that their project goes for more than 1+ yr or rather 3 yr...so that they can get a 3 yr extension.
Attorney_15 Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 When the ideal evidence is not available, then some other form of evidence needs to be obtained. Carefully considering the circumstances of the work and environment may help identify other forms of evidence that can be gathered. It is also useful and sometimes necessary to obtain affidavits from colleagues regarding pertinent facts. Consultation with an experienced attorney who can advise one how to proceed is often valuable in addressing such a situation.
t75 Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 Since you are able to get the 1 year extensions, why are you obsessing about the lack of a letter?
deep_bi Posted October 15, 2013 Author Report Posted October 15, 2013 OmShiv, Yeah..I requested for the letter and client mentioned they can provide email " "Due to company policy, I cannot provide verification of employment with Client for any person nor imply there is an intent to employ." And Manager cannot even mention his signature at the bottom. Will this work for my extension.I am working for more than year with same client and I see 1 year more work but still nothing can be mentioned in letter or Email.

Then simply dump that client and find another project. Why do you wanna work for someone who is not cooperating?
deep_bi Posted October 16, 2013 Author Report Posted October 16, 2013 Yes Rahul412 :) That's the only option I am left with.As I am running out of time as I have 2 more weeks left over.Planning to apply visa with existing client and even due to government shutdown if I choose new project now...LCA application may take time.So have to go with this client now....And hope for the Best!!! But will move from this client as soon as I can.
