uptown Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 I work for an Indian IT MNC. I got my L1A Blanket visa stamped about two weeks ago. I got the visa done for the same client i have been managing over the years. My I-129S lists the work address of Client A The company won a new deal recently and suddenly the bosses think I should be moving to the new client. Can I travel with the same approved I-129S? I hear two versions of the answer here versions here. 1.Since it is an intracompany transfer and the I-129S lists only the "proposed" place of employment , I should be fine. 2. I should not travel and instead get an approval with the new address listed in I-129S. If the second option were to be true, should i appear again at the consulate to get the new I-129 approved? or will USCIS be able to approve it from their processing centers? ( The USCIS site says that if a new visa is required, an approval may be sought from the same processing center that issued the blanket) I would appreciate if somebody can answer this. While the company is doing its bit to find the right approach, I am trying to get some answers here, so I do not face potential denial of entry at the POE or do something against the law. Thanks folks
