arinc2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 I had filed for my wife's H4 to F1 Change of status, but received RFE recently which stated - Please submit evidence of immediate funds available to pay for tuition and living expenses for the first year of study. - money in a checking account and/or savings account - other cash assets - affidavits of support from a sponsor You submitted a bank letter from <bank name> showing your spouse has <amount above required limit> in his checking account. And also submitted a bank statement for the same account showing the balance <same amount>. A single bank letter and statement is not sufficient to show that you have immediate funds available. - Submit the last 3 months of bank statement that includes all deposits and withdrawals for that account - If you submit documentation that includes a foreign currency, please calculate their value in U.S. dollars. Please include evidence of the source for the currency conversion exchange rates. Now, unfortunately I have already transferred a portion of the amount to my Indian bank a/c due to personal exigencies. So, 3 months bank statement with that required amount is not available with me. The last month will show a lesser amount. Will that work ? Also, the second option is feasible, as I have the sufficient amount in my Indian Bank a/c, as a Fixed Deposit. Now my question is, will that FD Statement from Indian Bank suffice for this purpose, or do I have to go for a premature withdrawal of that deposit, to show the amount as available cash in the savings account ? Also, what exactly is required to be submitted for the highlighted part above. Any specific sources accepted ? Please advise on how best to respond to this, given my situation. Please reply ASAP. Thanks !

t75 Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 It looks like fraud on your original submission. You moved the money for use elsewhere.

arinc2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Author Report Posted October 10, 2013 Thank u all for the reply. " If you submit documentation that includes a foreign currency, please calculate their value in U.S. dollars. Please include evidence of the source for the currency conversion exchange rates." For the above highlighted line, what needs to be included? Mentioning the sites like ********or ********* to India will be fine or we need anything more to be included? Also, please advise me with the Cover Letter contents, for this purpose. Please reply ASAP. Thanks!
