Hello,

I was laid-off in November 2012.

I received the severance pay for 3 months (up to Feb 2013)

I received offer in February 2013 and they applied for visa transfer.

It was approved and I received I-797 and the I-94 with that notice.

I have worked for the new employer but my passport has previous employer's stamp and it will expire on January 2014.

So I have to go back to India and get it stamped.

My worry is I have been in US 'Out of Status' for this long.

Will this create any problem at the time of stamping?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I have traveled out of US for business trips and came back without any questions/ problems.

As you were paid till February 2013 and got a job immediately in Feb 2013 you are fine.
