H1B Expiring Sept 2015 (6th year).Filing GC through spouse

Hello Folks!

 

I have an H1B with my current employer and it expires on Sept 2015. My husband has a GC and will be applying for my GC soon. Is it possible to switch employers during this GC process? If yes - at what stage and if no what are my alternatives.

Once you get an EAD based on a pending GC application you can work or not for anyone. The PD for say India is September,13 for F2A. If the next months bulletin makes the date current and it may not then you can file your GC. I would suggest getting a Lawyer onboard and keeping all documents ready for a quick filing when appropriate.

You come under F2A. If the next months visa bulletin makes the PD for you current he can file. Look up
