Anyone going for visa stamping in October worried about possible govt shutdown starting Oct 1?  Will the visa interview be cancelled if the democrats and republicans are not able to reach an agreement on govt spending by end of september?

I Think yes, it would be effecting the VISA. Hope these guys will come to an agreement and govt won't shut down.

Consulates won't be closed during the shutdown.

Sure, consulates won't close. But they may operate on reduced staff, and cut services because of that.
