h1b_ottawa_11th Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 I received my I-797A when I got approval. On top right corner it has name of Beneficiary. My I-797A doesn't have any number next to name. But I have noticed some of my friends has that number, whichstarts with A. Does anyone know what this number means and why my I-797A doesn't have that number?
vkgurram Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 Search for A Number in google and you will find lot of material. I think you get it once your I140 is approved or atleast that is when I started noticing that number on my I797.
SameerH1Bworker Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 You get A number if your I-140 is approved. Before that it will be blank, check your same friends first I-797 when they came first time in US, it should be blank. So, no worries.
