adarshch Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 My I-485 was applied on Jan 2011 and EAD was issued before I left US on June 2012. It's been more than a year now and even my EAD is expired on Feb 2013. Last month my I-485 case became current again and my Green Card was issued on Sept 2nd week 2013 and mailed to the address with USCIS on file. My Green Card application was employment based on EB2 category and I've even left the employer since Oct 2012 who had filed my Green Card. Now my Green Card is with my relative in US who can mail it to India. It has been more than 12 months for me to be outside of US and currently I'm not working in any Organization. Is there any process by which I can return to US and seek for job?
omshiv Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 it seems to me that your Green Card is invalid and you may have abandoned your GC....talk with an Attorney or wait for more replies.
pontevecchio Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 1. Discuss the matter with a Lawyer before you take any further steps. It is possible you may not be able to utilize this GC.
