Hi All -

My appointment was at 10 am this morning and the following occured.

1. During fingerprinting process, my DS-160 was marked as "No PIMS".

2. I was interviewed for 10 mins and the officer issued a 221(g) with the following checked, and told me to submit the documents at "Window B" which I did.

 - Complete resume

 - Employment Letter (including job description, address, telephone number and supervisor's name)

 - Letter describing detailed area of research.

From what I understood, the office asked questions about my educational background, client details and job description and it appeared that he was trying to understand the correlation between my Masters and the job I am working right now. He did not mention anything about PIMS and told me to go to Window B and there I was issued this form 221(g). I was told that I qualified for this visa but they need to put me under admin processing where in these docs are required.

Did this happen to anyone in the past? Your guidance is appreciated as I am stuck here. I am not sure how long this whole process takes, as both PIMS and doc review are involved..

For # 3 (Letter describing detailed area of research), I gave client letter which explained the details of project. Now I am a bit confused as to whether they are looking for my Masters details or the job details.

Your guidance is truly appreciated.

It might be both. Does your job related to your master's degree?

Hi,

When they asked you about your "COMPLETE RESUME", do we need to provide our resume with all the client details we worked or with all the employers we worked. Please advice. I have my interview scheduled not less than a week.

All the best for your case. Thank You!!!

From my understanding, the reason why they ask for Resume is - to understand your background right from Master's degree to your work experience. So it is better to give as much and complete details you can particularly the roles/responsibilities in detail. This may also help them understand the relationship between your educational background and the current job you are pursuing right now.
