applet Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 Hi All, I am currently working for a consulting company and will be moving to a new employer within a week. My current employer asked me to sign a release letter that states they provided all documents and paid everything in full. I am worried about the documents that an employee needs to take when leaving. I am on H1B and my new employer filed change of employer petition. From my current employer I took I-797, LCA and other documents filed as part of my initial H1 B petition. I dont know what I-140 and I-129 are (are they part of the petition). Are there any documents that we need to get? Someone who changes employers or someone who has knowledge on this situation please help me. Thank you Pradeep

permaudit Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 Get an experience letter from the employer on the company letter head. The letter should state the years of experience your role and your responsibilities while you were with the company. This is needed when you file GC
