srini001 Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Hi ,I have gotten my first H1B approved in April 2012 and in May 2013 I have changed my Job to join a full time. And I got 3 years H1B with new company. But I don't have original copy of H1B approval of previous employer. I do have copy of H1B approved with previous employer. Does that cause any issue If go to stamping? Do consulate officials ask for my previous H1B original copy at any point in the interview process? Can I submit copy of the previous H1B instead original? Thanks.
omshiv Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 No..you are fine..you are good to go.

srini001 Posted September 18, 2013 Author Report Posted September 18, 2013 Thank you very much @omshiv and @jairichi....
gitasankar Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 I appeared for the H1B visa interview at Chennai consulate. They asked me all my original previous I-797s. They might accept the copy of previous I-797. I am not sure. But I given all my original I-797s to them. Now a days they are giving 221 g for no reason like mine.
srini001 Posted September 20, 2013 Author Report Posted September 20, 2013 @gitashankar... Thanks for reply. Hope your issue will be resolved soon. Can you post why you got 221 g?
gitasankar Posted September 21, 2013 Report Posted September 21, 2013 I dont know whats the reason I got 221 g. I was able to respond to all of their questions and I was able to provide all the documents whatever they wanted. They didnt ask any further documents or they didn't say any reason. They simply told me that they want to do administrative processing and that will take more time to make decision on my case. Then they contacted my client in the 3rd week and my client responded back in the 4th week to them. Nothing happened after that. I am just still waiting to hear from them. I am on EVC Model. I have been in US for 6 years. I worked for Government Client. Donno whats going on with the Consulate now a days.
