Hi, I did my MS in Mechanical Engineering form US and working as a QA in IT, will it be a big issue to go for stamping? However I have done lots of computer subjects during my Bachelors (Mechanical Engg) in India and also have a Education Evaluation done in USA. Please help

@Goluram: You had posted earlier in this forum and we have give our opinions. It would be best to contact a good immigration attorney to know the chances of visa approval rather than keep posting in this forum to get a favorable answer.

You need to convince vo and show proof  that you have enough knowledge in that field.

@Goluram:

I am facing a similar situation. I am planning to go for my H1B
stamping this year. I did my BE and MS in Mechanical Engg and I am
currently working in an IT job. I have C programming course and lab in
Bachelors and haven't done any IT related courses in Masters though I
have done a couple of courses where I used MATLAB for programming.

I understand that you would have formulated an answer while you
were going to stamping if VO asks the following kind of questions:

How can you justify your change of background (i.e., Mechanical in
Masters to IT job)?

Why did you change your background?

How is your Masters degree related to your current job?

Can you please share your answers which you would have probably
thought of before your interview?

I have been racking my brains out on this for a while. I would really
appreciate your help.

Sincerely,

Vigneshwar
