h1bh1bvisa Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Hello GuysI have got my H1 Visa Stamped successfully,two weeks ago in chennai.Here is little background about myself.My first employer in US was a desi consultancy.When i went for stamping, I was asked lot of questions regarding what is the project I will be on, How many employees are there . I was also called inside a room in the embassy to question me further. Then I was finally issued a visa for one year. The experience was totally unpleasant.Three months after moving to USA , I have switched to reputed billion dollar company for full time job. Since I had only one year visa , when I visited india this time , I had to get stamping.Remembering the experience I had, prepared every document which I could. Finally during the time of interview , I was carrying huge bundle of documents. The interview experience was surprisingly very pleasant.Here is the list of questionsMe : Good Morning!!VO : Good morning .... He looked at the screen and scanned it for few seconds.VO : So you work for XXX CompanyMe : Yes sir.VO : What is your highest Level of QualificationsMe : Bachelor of Engineering. (He looks surprised , as the division which I am currently working for is a research wing of my organization. He keep scanning the monitor for around 5 seconds). VO : What is your salary.Me : Base Salary is $135 K + 20% salary as bonusThats it , he didnt ask any further questions... He didnt even look at any documents I was carrying.VO : Your VISA is issued , you will receive text message shortlyMe : Thank you Sir.I was expecting him to ask lot of questions. But it looks like , if you have a full time job in a reputed company , they don't scrutinize much.Looks like even your past experience don't count much. I have received a passport with VISA stamped in 5 days.
