Travel to India with approved I797 from another employer but still employed at old employer

I am on H1b visa and I am switching jobs. I have approved I797 from my new employer. But before joining I want to travel to India while I am still employed with my old employer. On returning back, I will give my current employer notice and then join the new employer. If I do it, will I loose the new I-797 from the new (to-be) employer

This is called CHEATING. Why would you want to do that when you have no intention to work for your current employer? If caught lying you may have to face consequences.
