Successful H1B Visa Stamping at Kingston Jamaica

Hi All,

 

Thanks to murthy forum this is where i got people to share place in kingston.

 

 we 4 attended and all of us got visa approved.

 

 F1-H1 first stamping is allowed.

 

most difficult part is POE at Kingston airport, again it depends on officer. i had 40 min grilling at POE about where you go in case if you dont get visa..and make sure you have return ticket to US..its better to say truth..

 

Be sure you have plans if you have 221 g becos this place is expensive and very humid.. 

 

it takes 2 days to get passport and we have to pickup at consulate it seems.

 

for f1-H1:

 

they are looking after OPT how you manged status in US.

 

for H1-H1

 

last yr W2, are you placed at client site, first H1 ?, are you still with your petioner ?,what do you do for your employer.

 

seems one guy got 221g on same day.

 

coming to our 4 people  ( 1 FTE, 2 EVC, 1 EVVC), 2 ( f1-H1 stamping), 2 ( H1-H1 stamping) 

 

i just compiled experience briefly, to answer general basic questions..
