rocky22dec
I am working on H1B for 2 yrs. My wife (She is on H1b, It’s been 1 year) is working for another company. I am planning to file GC with her through her company. My question is: After 4 years after my H1B visa expires, will I be able to work? Link to comment

Initial I140 stage you are not involved or included in your wife's GC. Only at I485 stage you could be included. Wait for other members opinion. Link to comment
JoeF
No. An H1 can only be extended past the 6 years under certain circumstances for the primary GC applicant. Link to comment
omshiv
You mean you'll be a Dependent on her GC application. You dont apply GC thru her company...thats an incorrect term. anways if you dont get EAD by then..you cannot work on H1B once it expires after 6 yrs. Link to comment
