rocky22dec Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 I am working on H1B for 2 yrs. My wife (She is on H1b, It’s been 1 year) is working for another company. I am planning to file GC with her through her company. My question is: After 4 years after my H1B visa expires, will I be able to work?
kalyan_ac Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Yes, if you get to file your I485 by then (if dates become current), you can get an EAD to work. Otherwise, you may have change your status to something like H4.
rocky22dec Posted September 17, 2013 Author Report Posted September 17, 2013 Thanks.I have heard about getting EAD card if I40 is approved or priority date is current. any thoughts ?
