I am working on H1B for 2 yrs. My wife (She is on H1b, It’s been 1 year) is working for another company. I am planning to file GC with her through her company.

My question is:

After 4 years after my H1B visa expires, will I be able to work?

Yes, if you get to file your I485 by then (if dates become current), you can get an EAD to work.

Otherwise, you may have change your status to something like H4.

As immigrationseeker mentioned only if you file I485 not with I140 approval
