checking for options I have

I received my physical card in mail on 9/12/2013. but my wife's status still shows in Acceptance.

How do I check if my wife's ( dependent) I-485 is connected to my file(Primary). Is it a normal procedure for dependent's file getting delayed after primary app if approved?

Both our applications( packaged together and sent in one package) reached USCIS Texas service center on 8//1/2013.
Both of us got our fingerprinting done on 8/23/2013 ( early walk-in).
Both got our EAD & AP Combo card on 9/3/2013.
MY I-485 status changed to card production on 9/6/2013 and received physical card and welcome notice on 9/12/2013
Wife' I -485 status still shows in Acceptance. Called customer service and they informed they received finger prints for my wife's application and app is in process. CSR asked us to wait for 4 months before contacting again. How do I know her file is connected to my file and are there instances of dependent getting I-485 rejected. Wife has been on H4 since arriving in US and never been out of status.

There is no way your spouse's application would be accepted unless it was connected to yours. It's not unusual for spouses to get their approvals later than the primary. She can take an InfoPass to ask if there is anything that is holding up her case.

Receipt date for I-485 is 8/6/2013. Since it has not been more than 4 months(current processing time for I-485), can we take Infopass?

8/1 RD and 8/23 you get FP done.

I think your case is unusually fast processed. So, you have to wait for normal proc times for the spouse's 485 to get approved.

You can take InfoPass at any time, but since it's only have been a month and a half of application pending, you will get an answer that the application is still being processed. Take a look at the current processing timelines for I-485.
