pjb4 Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 Hello experienced people, I have couple questions on H1B stamping (First timer), I am willing to go for stamping and my H1b cycle will start this Oct 2013, how earliest can I go for stamping? 1. Is it solely required that one should have 2 pay stubs on H1B? before going for stamping? or can he carry most recent paystubs which can be from sept (while he was on F1)? 2. Also I am considering Ottawa as an option for stamping, and would like your opinion on that , around availability, duration required to stay there and facts. Thanks in advance! - PJB
omshiv Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 If this is your first H1B..then how would you get paystubs? anways its not required...just carry all your H1 related documents...consulates do not matter..its the same everywhere...check their site for availability and go thru this forum for people who went there with their experience posted here.
rahul412 Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 1. Is it solely required that one should have 2 pay stubs on H1B? before going for stamping? or can he carry most recent paystubs which can be from sept (while he was on F1)? Since you haven't started working on H1 so you won't need those pay stubs. All you need is your latest paystubs irrespective of current status.
pjb4 Posted September 16, 2013 Author Report Posted September 16, 2013 Thank you omshiv and rahul, for clarifying, will carry most recent pay stubs then. now next thing I would do start checking the procedure. :)
omshiv Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 Thank you omshiv and rahul, for clarifying, will carry most recent pay stubs then. now next thing I would do start checking the procedure. :) Check the respective Consulate's site..they usually provide all the information/procedure related to stamping. another quick way is to go thru this forum...people have posted their experience...good info..more than you want.
