Got yellow slip 221(g) ..... Requires further administrative process

Hi,

 

My interview was on sep 09 at Barbados....

He asked me all the questions regarding employer, client, vendor, my previous clients...

At the last he said " I don't have issue to give you visa but we are waiting on update from DHS"

He gave me a yellow slip which mentions "Requires further administration process".

He kept my passport, I797, transcript, employer letter, client letter, vendor letter...

 

Does any one have any idea what is that update they are waiting on and how long that usually takes??

Visa officer said that they will get back to me by friday.

Did you get ur visa recently ? If so then it might be about the PIMS update. Once it updates they might get back to you. Or some background verification  Let us know whats ur status once u get reply

I guess it was PIMS update....Officer emailed me to come next day and gave a big list(around 10) to provide.

VO:post all these docs and it is gonna be a big bundle, once we get those docs then we will reopen ur case and will let u know

When did you get your H1 approved... How much gap was there between ur approved status and H1 slot

Dd you send ur documents....??  wat kind of documents did he ask

    Do you have any update on your VISA..? What docs did they ask you..? Is that related to PIMS..? What is the time gap between your H1b approval/extension and your visa Date..? Could you please update all the information. I have mine schedule in the next couple of weeks.

There would be no problem ....I got approved 3 weeks prior to my interview and got stamped....So dont worry if you have filed H1 with good company...
