H4 to H1 visa stamping without pay stubs

I entered US on H4 in 2012. My H1B has been approved in 2013 and I need to travel to India before October 1st 2013 due to some family emergency, however I would be able to reenter US only after October. My questions are as below:

1. If I go for my visa stamping interview at US consulate in India to enter on H1B, I will not be having any payslips as I will not have started my job until then. However, I will be carrying a letter of extension of joining date from my employer. Is there any risk of rejection if not carrying any payslips.

2. Can I reenter US on H4? In that case would it mean that would loose my H1?

Please suggest.

(1) It should not be a problem.

(2) If you enter US on H4 then your employer has to file a COS from H4 to H1B and have to pay H1B fees. I do not think your employer would be happy about this.

1. You are good to go. You will need pay stubs ONLY if you have worked in US.

2. If you enter into US on H4 again your employer has to file for COS. You won't loose your H1 but you won't be on H1.
