Fresh H1B after 6 years of work in US on H1B

Hi,

 

I am completing my 6 years of H1B in december 2013. In between i went and came back couple of times from India.

Now can my employer again apply for fresh H1B in April 2014 for me to start work from jan 2015. or i can not even apply for fresh H1B while 1 year of cooling period?

you have to stay outside the US for 1 full year..which means 2014 quota wont fit in.

For a new H1, you have to be outside the US for at least one year before a new H1 can even be filed.

Short visitor trips to the US interrupt the one year requirement, but doesn't reset it.
