H1 Visa maxed out- Can I get L2

I have spent 6 years in the US, initially on L1 B Visa and later on H1 B Visa. Since I have spent the maximim number of years (6 years) in the US under L1-H1 Visa, I am not eligible for extension. However my husband has a valid L1 Visa. Will I be able to stay on in the US by applying for a L2 Visa?

A person who has maxed out on L-1/H1B time is typically still eligible to enter L-2 status.
