H1B transfer - processing times

Hello,

 

My H1B transfer was initiated on June 18th, I received my H1 receipt on July 14th. However, the case status still shows as Initial review. Does anyone know how long it will take to complete transfer usually ?

 

Also my previous H1 (1st time) was from Oct 1 2012 to Sept 30 2013. Does it matter if USCIS still doesn't have a decision on my case before Sept 30th ? However, I have my H1 receipt and already started working in the new company.

Usually 2.5 months. It is always suggested not to begin work for a new employer upon receipt notice from USCIS. What would be your status if H1B is denied?

although you MAY start working once you get the Receipt..but its not adviced to...ask your employer to PP.

Applied on 18th June and you received receipt on 14th Jul?? Why so log?? are you sure?
