I94 and visa stamp expiring. New i797

Hi All,

 

   My visa is expiring on Sept 9th 2013 and I-94 is expiring on Sept 19th 2013. My last entry to US is Mar 2012 with previous visa stamp. Then I am still with my old company.The new H1-B petition with my new company started from sep 2012 and it expires on August 2015. I have a new i94 attached on my new i797.So, now as my old visa and i94 are expiring,can I stay beyond I-94 expiry which is on Sept 19th 2013 in US or do I need to go out of country and come back before I-94 expiry?

 

Please advise.

You are fine. You would need a H1 visa to travel abroad and return.
