H1BJourney Posted August 21, 2013 Report Posted August 21, 2013 When Initially filling for H1B, LCA and I-129 has Client X with some address. My client changed moved to new location and I filed new LCA for same Client X with different address (Comes under Different County). If i go for stamping, does VO check if I-129 address matches latest LCA address? Can i just answer my client moved to different location and show my previous LCA too. I Google'ed a lot and can't find any clear and official source when to file for Amendment.
ramreddykethireddy Posted August 21, 2013 Report Posted August 21, 2013 hi Vinay, its better to have new LCA with new Address even if you move to client's new building. It doesn't take more than 5 business days. I recommend you to take new LCA. (Its from my personal experience.). VO will check it or not but you should be cautious with your documents.
sverma Posted August 21, 2013 Report Posted August 21, 2013 Client address on my LCA and I-129 does not match as my client location changed right after my H1b got approved. The lawyer did not consider that as a material change.
aris18 Posted August 21, 2013 Report Posted August 21, 2013 as long as they filed New LCA with address change you are fine.

How about Amendment? Is it really needed?
sthamago Posted August 21, 2013 Report Posted August 21, 2013 How about Amendment? Is it really needed? old adress and new address how far are they are they? if they are in same city and county (Same MSA)then not required
H1BJourney Posted August 21, 2013 Author Report Posted August 21, 2013 old adress and new address how far are they are they? if they are in same city and county (Same MSA)then not required They are different County. So, still needs amendment if client name is same?
sthamago Posted August 21, 2013 Report Posted August 21, 2013 They are different County. So, still needs amendment if client name is same? check if they fall under same Metropolitan Statistical Area. Conform the same with your employer and attorney as well.
H1BJourney Posted August 21, 2013 Author Report Posted August 21, 2013 I search. They both come under same MSA even tough they are different counties. New LCA should be fine.
ramreddykethireddy Posted August 21, 2013 Report Posted August 21, 2013 How about Amendment? Is it really needed? If you have been working for the same client, you don't need amendment but should carry both LCAs.
prince2002 Posted September 20, 2013 Report Posted September 20, 2013 VinayH1B, Can you please tell me where you checked whether both address (old client location and new location) come under same MSA ? Thanks, Prince
