omshiv Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 Experts, One of my friend - Nepal Citizen, GC holder in the US, applied in June 2013 to bring his Wife and 2 yr old son here. I noticed in Aug bulletin F2A has become Current. What does he need to do now? Would he just wait? Just check the receipt no? Contact the US consulate in Nepal? Appreciate your help.

pontevecchio Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 It is supposed to work in such a way that the embassy will call them for an Interview assuming all paperwork involved has been filed. I-130 and the further documentation and medicals . No harm in asking the Embassy for status.

I dont think his wife and kids have done the Medical yet...I believe the US Consulate in Nepal would contact them and ask to do their Medical stuff and once its approved they will get their Immigrant Visa stamped on their passport.
